Copy and Print Center, Bitches

I never thought I would say this, but I am actually starting to like my job now! I started training in the Copy and Print Center this week and it is so hott. I love it so much more than stupid cashiering. I mean, cashiering is fine when I am working with people who make the time go by faster, but if we're super slow or super busy, it really sucks. There's not really a medium, ever. The CPC is a lot more stress because you're actually creating stuff for customers and they're relying on you, but still, overall it is fewer customers to deal, and the people are a lot smarter already there.

Other big jobish type news, I got a call from LPS today and my ID number and email address came in, so all I have to do is go down to the LPS main office, get my photo taken for my badge, sign a few forms, and I am officially a substitute for Lincoln Public Schools! Last night I was at this scrapbooking store (where I also applied for a job because I obviously won't be able to sub in the summer) and one of the women who works there is also a teacher at one of the parochial schools here in Lincoln, and she wasn't sure how to get on the sub list for that, since it is separate from LPS of course, but she would let me know. Also, she said they were going to need a Kindergarten teacher at the end of April because one of the teachers would be on maternity leave! How awesome is that! It wouldn't be incredibly long-term, since schools here get out sometime between the middle and end of May, but still, it would be such a great experience. The pay is less in the parochial school system, which sucks because LPS pays their teachers shit to begin with anyway, but the parent involvement is so much greater. I am so excited, but either way, I have to head to the LPS office now and sign all my forms and get all my cool new substitute teacher stuff, woohoo for me!

Not much else going on aside from that, probably watching SVU with Teetz tonight because that's what we do. It would work better on Tuesdays but nooooo, he had to go to Omaha and sit at an AMS meeting for a couple hours. I told him I'd go with and sit in the corner and work on my scrapbook and he said I'd be a distraction because they don't see pretty girls very often, so I stayed in Lincoln. And here I thought only engineering majors and computer science majors never see pretty girls, but poor meteorology majors don't either.

Anyway, that'd all for now, I really have to get to the LPS office, because they only do pictures for your name badge certain hours during the day and I think they stop soon.

Wow, I haven't said that in a really long time.

Maybe I will start again.

That's exciting times, Sarah! I should come visit you at work sometime, but I don't think I need anything copied or printed so I'll just have to shop for some stuff instead. Luckily, I'm a pro at the shopping thing. Sort of, anyway. I like to dart around stores from one area to the next randomly. I'm sort of small and stealthy, so if I'm with anyone else they lose me. Too bad for those people. Anyway, I'm glad you are doing something you like, and I'm super happy that you can start subbing soon. That is just wonderfully neato.

Thank you darling. I am so excited because I got my badge and everything and my big guideline book and a book of all the schools in LPS, along with maps to the school, and layouts of the buildings themselves! I am so excited! Woohoo for subbing!

One time at Kinkos, I made 100 copies on the wrong color paper. You probably would have stopped me. Or is proves that I'm a dumbass.
